Building progressive power in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District

Indivisible is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, nationwide movement uniting thousands of group leaders and more than a million members in taking strategic, consistent action to resist harmful legislation, elect local representatives who reflect our values, and advocate for progressive policies.

Our local group, Indivisible GA 10, empowers the residents of Georgia’s 10th District to actively engage in civic life and work toward a more inclusive democracy. We champion the economic prospects and values of ordinary working people by showing up for the families of our district.

In solidarity with marginalized communities, we collaborate with organizations dedicated to protecting those under attack—often immigrants, the queer community, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), and low-income individuals. Together, we are building a movement that strengthens democracy for all.

Our 4 Areas of Focus

  • We pay attention to the actions of officials who represent our district and support our members and allies in exercising their constituent power. When necessary, we organize to fight laws that will bring harm to our communities, and we advocate for positive changes and laws that improve lives.

  • We strengthen civic participation by connecting with people who have a variety of opinions and supporting communication across differing experiences and perspectives. We reach out to people who have not voted recently, as well as those who have, to better understand issues important to them and provide information that helps them exercise one of our most important rights: the right to vote.

  • MAGA Republicans at the federal and state level agenda are targeting too many of our neighbors: immigrants, queer people (especially the trans community), Black people, American Indians, other people of color, disabled people, low income people, and educators. We work with local organizations that serve and support these communities to amplify their work. We share information about activities and provide support to delay or decrease harm and build shared power.

Indivisible GA 10 is committed to building strong connections with progressive organizations to amplify their efforts. At times, this may simply mean establishing communication channels to share information about actions and events. In other cases, as we gain a deeper understanding of each group’s specific needs, we will provide direct support to resist, delay, and minimize harm. For some organizations, ongoing collaboration and information-sharing will be essential to identifying the most impactful ways we can stand in solidarity and offer meaningful support.

  • We support people in our communities across Congressional District 10 in taking action to create change, strengthen our democracy, and enact policies that serve us all, not just the wealthy few. We organize rallies, demonstrations, speak-outs and more so that people can publicly show their support for policies that serve us all and their opposition to harmful and divisive MAGA policies.
